David received a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University (1999) where he studied trumpet with William Scarlett, Luther Didrickson, and Vincent Cichowicz. David also holds a Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (2003) and was a student of David Burkhart.
A native of Southern California, Mr. Taylor returned in 2004 and quickly became a sought after freelance musician. Now very active in his career, he performs regularly with the Pacific Symphony, the Long Beach Symphony and Pops Orchestras, the Redlands Symphony, and the San Bernardino Symphony. In addition to David’s performing work, he maintains a private teaching studio in Tustin, is the brass coach at Lakeside Middle School (Irvine), and is co-director of instrumental music at the Fairmont Private Schools in Orange County.
In his free time, David enjoys surfing, traveling, and wine.
