EC Belly Dancer is available as a solo dance artist to entertain at special events, celebrations, weddings, festivals, etc. primarily in the Orange County, California area, and has a wide variety of professional cabaret and folkloric costumes. She can also provide additional dancers if a duet or troupe show is desired, complete with choreographies and costume changes. Shows are tailored to the creative vision of the client/ event. Whether you fancy an exciting entrance with Isis wings, a dreamy veil number, a flirty Egyptian cane dance, or a spectacular drum solo, her dance shows are sure to be remembered fondly by your guests.

Our dancer has been dancing and performing since the age of five, but began to devote all of her energy to Middle Eastern dance starting in 1992, when she began dancing with the Neri Senti Dance and Magic Troupe. While continuing to perform with the Neri Senti all over California, she backtracked and began to study intensively with some of Southern California’s most world-renowned instructors as well as taking numerous workshops with visiting international luminaries, striving to develop and perfect her personal style as an Oriental dancer. In 1993 she began to perform regularly with the award winning Angelika Nemeth Dance Ensemble, and in 1996 became a member of Sahra Kent’s Ya Amar dance company. Starting in 1994 she began to enjoy a burgeoning career as a soloist, appearing regularly in venues such as Hassan’s Lebanese Café, Marrakesh restaurant, Newport Beach, Darya in Orange, and the Aegean Cafe in Laguna Beach. She was a featured dancer at the Caspian Persian restaurant in Irvine from 1995 to 2004.

OC Belly Dancer has performed in numerous dance concerts, festivals, and special events throughout Orange and Los Angeles counties, ranging from Middle Eastern cultural events to a wrap party for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. In 2004 she was invited by the International Association of Middle Eastern Dance (IAMED) to be a featured soloist in “Belly Dance Rocks” at the West Valley Playhouse in Los Angeles.

We can also do a mix of modern Egyptian music and traditional, and can mix in some folkloric numbers if they wish, or we can keep it all modern.
