            Kerry began recording in studios at age seventeen and playing music for a living at age nineteen. He has played the Hammond organ on numerous records and hundreds of sessions. He has toured with artists like Dick Dale and the Del Tones and has been a member of the popular Southern California band, the Surftones for more than twenty years. He played guitar, keyboards and sang in a band called the Ascenders, whose song, "Make My Own Rules" went to #19 on the radio in the 1980s. "It was great driving into Hollywood that day. We heard our song on the car radio on the way into town and then saw our faces 40-feet-tall on the billboard above Tower Records on Sunset Blvd... what a rush!"

            Kerry loves to surf whenever he can, riding his longboard. "There's  a spiritual connection you get from surfing", he says. "It's the same with playing and writing music. God gave me a talent and I'm just trying to use it to share the love. It's all about the audience. If one person out there gets taken away from their problems for a couple of hours, then I've done my job. Music is an exchange. The musicians put it out there, but it's how the listeners respond that inspires us to keep on keepin' on. It's a satisfying feeling when we get a good vibe back from the crowd and to know that they really appreciate our music. That's why 'live' recordings have so much more energy, because the people pump it up!"
